The divas dined at The Arboreal Inn in Spring Lake Township on Feb. 18.
“The ’original divas’ reminisced about dining at the Arboreal (about) two years ago, and thought it was time for a return visit,” they note in their latest blog review. “This time, we welcomed a new diva, Spring Lake’s own Sharon Bedford, who owns a catering business.”
Bedford was born and raised in Northern California and grew up "farm to table,“ the divas wrote. She started cooking at home when she was about 10. Her favorite pastimes are reading cookbooks, trying new recipes, extensive travels in search of the best restaurants and Italian cooking classes.
She's now a retired elementary teacher and reading specialist. But while she was still teaching, Bedford started Edible Art Catering and remains actively involved in her business after more than 20 years.
"I've loved planning dinner parties and cooking for as long as I can remember," she said. "I am passionate about not only fantastic food, but presentation as well — my trademark."
For the new review, the divas say they opted to forego Arboreal’s more formal dining room and dine in the cozy and rustic bar area at one of the high-top tables.
