Becca Hatinger recorded a 191 in the first regular game to lead the Bucs, while Meagan Batka added a 184.
The Bucs boys’ team avenged a loss to the Bulldogs earlier this season with a 28-2 win on Wednesday. Jimmy Mitchell recorded a 502 series (257, 245) to lead the Bucs, while Brennan Batka (222, 236) added a 458 series.
“The goal today was to improve the spare shooting that cost us in the first meeting,” said Grand Haven boys coach Pat Mitchell. “That goal was achieved. The match was contested on the state pattern unbeknownst to us prior to arriving, which actually was fine with us.
“We didn't have our best Baker set, which is something we need to work on during matches, but our effort was enough to sweep the Bakers. The first regular game was a very solid performance by the Bucs boys’ securing the match. This is their third straight win and each win was secured before the second regular game. Jimmy Mitchell and Brennan Batka bowled great with the rest of the team doing their part to contribute.”
Both Bucs’ bowling teams will participate in the East Kentwood Invitational this Saturday at AMF Eastbrook Lanes in Grand Rapids.
