Monster Bash – 6-8 p.m. at Ferrysburg City Hall, 17290 Roosevelt Road. Costumes are encouraged. There will be prizes and refreshments, and you can learn to do the “Monster Mash.”

Haunted Hike – 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Hemlock Crossing County Park, 8115 West Olive Road, West Olive. Learn about critters of the season and then scare up some cider and doughnuts at the Nature Education Center. Costumes are optional. Admission is free, but registration is required. Pumpkin Train – 11 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. departures from 311 E. Danforth St., Coopersville. Halloween Downtown – Local businesses will hand out candy from 4-6 p.m. along Washington Avenue from Harbor Drive to Third Street in downtown Grand Haven. Downtown Spring Lake businesses will also be handing out treats from 4-6 p.m. Look for the orange pumpkin in the window of participating village merchants.
Haunted Haven Indoor Halloween Experience – 6-8 p.m. at the Grand Haven Community Center, 421 Columbus Ave. Games, treats, crafts and family fun.
Community Trick-or-Treating – 6-8 p.m.
Trunk or Treat – 6-8 p.m. at First Christian Reformed Church, at the corner of Waverly Avenue and Ferry Street in Grand Haven. Also outdoor movie and refreshments.
Christian Haven Home – 6-8 p.m. at 704 Pennoyer Ave. in Grand Haven. Residents will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters.
Don’t forget to visit the Tri-Cities Historical Museum, 200 Washington Ave. in downtown Grand Haven, to see the Victorian House exhibit decorated for Halloween through Oct. 31. Admission is free.
