As always, it will be located under the Chinook Pier green canopy at the intersection of Harbor Drive and First Street.
“We are excited for the farmers market season to begin,” said Mary Sherman. “Not only does it mean summer, it also means easier access to fresh and local produce, supporting our local economy, and enjoying the experience of shopping outdoors.”
The Grand Haven Farmers Market will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local farmers will offer in-season produce, cut flowers, hanging baskets, freshly baked breads, coffee, pastries, jams, jellies and more.
The market will add Wednesdays to the schedule starting June 6.
The Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven-Spring Lake-Ferrysburg is the manager of the Grand Haven Farmers Market and the Spring Lake Farm & Garden Market, which takes place on Thursdays in the Harvest Bible Chapel parking lot in Spring Lake, beginning June 7. This market will run through mid-October with hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We are very fortunate that our community has access to a farmers market three days a week during the summer months,” Sherman said. “What better way is there than to eat healthy and buy local?”
