Aaron Young was arrested by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department Monday night after being located in the Memphis, Tenn. area, according to Ottawa County Sheriff Capt. Mark Bennett.
Young is being held in the Shelby County Jail awaiting extradition.
Investigators have released the name of the suspect in the shooting death of a man outside the Hookah Lounge of Holland in September.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 25-year-old Aaron Joshua-John Young on charges of open murder, open manslaughter, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. It is believed Young was living in Holland Township at the time of the homicide.
Anthony Lamb, 22, was killed in the early morning of Sept. 11 from a single gunshot wound at 960 Butternut Drive in Holland Township.
Young is considered to be armed and dangerous, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
Capt. Mark Bennett of the sheriff's office said in a news release that Young is believed to be out of the state at this time. Local investigators are working with state and federal law enforcement in trying to locate Young.
Investigators have conducted dozens of interviews in connection to the investigation, Bennett said, and forensically tested "numerous" articles of evidence.
Bennett asks that anyone with information about Young's whereabouts call the sheriff's office or Silent Observer at 877-887-4536. Tips may also be submitted online at www.mosotips.com.
