Lakeshore Middle School student to compete in state geography bee

Having won the school’s geography bee in fifth grade, Ruster knows the feeling of victory.

The winners of state tournaments will go to the National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C., for the National Geography Bee on May 24-25.

In order to qualify for the national tournament, Ruster must take first place in the state competition, according to a release from National Geographic. If Ruster places in the top 10 at the state level, he will win $500, the boy said.
