Snakes in a library

“He’s a pretty friendly snake,” Wright said as he let the kids touch the snake’s skin.

Wright also had a gray tree frog, an American kestrel falcon and two turtles — a native-to-Michigan painted and a red-eared slider.

Tracy McMartin of Spring Lake brought her three daughters to the presentation. All three girls — Sarah, 5; and 8-year-old twins, Hannah and Rachel — are Holmes Elementary School students and all three said they liked the colorful falcon the best.
