Spring Lake school district eyes transportation changes

Evans presented this plan to the school board and a crowd of parents at a work session Monday evening. The proposal was an attempt to control transportation costs and help the district close a funding shortfall, she said.
Eliminating the eight mid-day bus routes would save the district $52,000 per year, Evans said. Kindergarten and Young Fives students would either have to be transported by parents or sign up for an after-school program, she said.
