SLHS students produce their own lip dub video

“We’re giving a lip dub a shot to promote Spring Lake High School and all the good things we do here,” said English and film teacher David Theune, who directed the production. “We have 33 groups or sections in the lip dub — from academics, arts and athletics. It’s amazing.”

Lip dubbing is a fairly new technique in which a videographer shoots continuously through rooms and scenes while cast members lip-synch to a popular song. In the “one-take” approach, the camera moves from set to set and person to person without stopping.

During the editing process, the technician dubs in the song. The finished product is a continuous stream of seamless audio and video.

"We hope to premiere it on the last day that the seniors are here (Thursday)," Theune said.
