Grand Haven elementary schools fared better in the Top to Bottom percentile rankngs: Peach Plains scored 99; Mary A. White, 95; Rosy Mound, 94; Griffin, 92; Lake Hills, 92.
Spring Lake’s Holmes and Jeffers Elementaries both ranked in the 99th percentile, followed by Spring Lake Intermediate at 96, the middle school at 93 and high school at 90.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Mike Flanagan said whether rankings are high or low, all schools have room for improvement.
The MDE also targeted 98 schools on its Persistently Lowest Achieving Schools List. Those schools will be required to develop and implement state-approved plans.
