During the event, scouts rotated to different stations with a passport stamped to signal that they learned about Venezuela, Pakistan, Ireland, Jordan, Malawi and clean water. Scouts also donated change and canned goods to organizations such as Save the Children, ChildFund International, Irish Youth Foundation, Clean Water for the Children and the American Red Cross.

During each 10-minute rotation, the young girls learned about the countries and ways to keep children healthy.

Elyse Winter, leader of Troop 3302, said the annual event provides them with an opportunity to talk about those issues.

Girl Scout Rosie Dervartanian of Troop 4019 said she enjoyed World Thinking Day activities.

“It’s fun because you get to learn about different countries,” said the 7-year-old.
