Throughout the week, students learned about fire safety, cyber safety, dangerous drugs and the importance of not touching weapons in the home.
Officers from the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety worked with the children each afternoon. K-9 Max visited the school on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the officers set up an obstacle course for students to learn firsthand how police officers train. Students worked on teams to low-crawl dressed as a firefighter, carry hoses, work together in a bucket brigade, pull a drowning practice doll to safety and spray a fire hose at a pretend burning house.
On Friday, the students graduated with a pizza party and a certificate of completion.
