Top 5 things to do this weekend

(1) Jingle Bell Parade - 6-7 p.m. Saturday in downtown Grand Haven. Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, this evening parade features floats and walkers that head down Franklin Avenue to Harbor, make a right to Washington and follow along Washington to Central Park. The parade is followed by the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree with Mr. & Mrs. Claus at Central Park.
(2) Riptide Crazy Sweater 5K Fun Run/Walk - 7:30 p.m. Saturday registration. Race starts and ends at Central Park in Spring Lake. The 5k and the Fun Walk is $25 to participate.
(3)The Christmas Creche: A Celebration of the Christ through musical and visual presentations - 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 18975 168th Ave., Spring Lake. This show runs all weekend, from Friday through Sunday.
(4) Coopersville Nighttime Christmas Parade - 7 p.m. Friday, downtown Coopersville. One of the original night-time parades in Michigan, this annual event begins immediately following the lighting of Lori's Tree at the corner of Eastmanville and Main streets in Coopersville. The event will feature professional and amateur floats, decorated vehicles and firetrucks all competing for prizes as they travel along Main Street in the Historic Downtown District of Coopersville.
(5) Walk For Warmth - 10 a.m. Saturday at Mary A. White, 1400 Wisconsin St., Grand Haven. Must pre-register by going to the Grand Haven High School, 17001 Ferris St., Grand Haven.
