Easter egg hunts abound

They’ll be on the hunt in several locations, including eight public events scheduled by organizations in our area.

The Easter Bunny will deliver eggs Saturday, April 19, at:

*Spring Lake Central Park next to Ace Hardware. At the Spring Lake Heritage Festival and Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt, children scavenge for prize and candy-filled eggs at 10 a.m.

*Grand Haven Central Park in downtown Grand Haven. At the Grand Haven Easter Egg Hunt, children up to age 10 scramble for more than 5,000 eggs from 11-11:30 a.m.

*Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene, 1620 S. Beechtree St., Grand Haven. At this Easter Eggstravaganza, children through sixth grade are welcome to participate in a 10:30 a.m. egg hunt.

*The Chapel, 1805 Waverly, Grand Haven. At this Easter Egg Hunt, children up to age 10 are invited to hunt for eggs, take a photo with the Easter Bunny, and enjoy hot chocolate from 11-11:45 a.m.

*Hope Reformed Church, 14932 Mercury Drive, Grand Haven Township. At this Easter Egg Hunt, children ages 2-10 are invited to search for the best eggs starting at 10 a.m.

*Lighthouse Christian Ministries, 13858 Lincoln St., Robinson Township. At this Easter Egg Hunt, children ages 2-12 are invited to hunt for eggs at 11 a.m. and then enjoy a free hot dog lunch.

*Riverside Nursing and Rehab, 415 Friant St., Grand Haven. The facility will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11:45 a.m.

*Salvation Army, 310 N. Despelder, Grand Haven. At this Community Easter Egg Hunt, children are invited to enjoy cookies, punch and an egg hunt at 1 p.m.
