The festival will take place July 25-30 at the county fairgrounds, 1286 Ottawa Beach Road. Gates will open at 3 p.m. Monday and at 9:30 a.m. the rest of the week.
Parking is free, and admission at the door is free for children up to 10 years old and $4 for anyone older than that.
Most of the featured events will take place at the Grandstand. Various motor sports including truck/tractor pulls, motocross, a mud run, rodeo production and monster trucks will be held in the arena. The admission price varies by event.
People are encouraged to use the fairgrounds, located 3 miles from downtown Holland, to camp overnight. The cost of camping out is $25 per night.
The fair has special events planned for all ages.
— Elliott’s Amusements is bringing in the carnival that will run for the entire week. Wristbands ($36) are available for unlimited rides for any three out of the five days.
— The Whispering Pines mobile zoo is open at noon each day.
— For teens and young adults, a glow paint and foam EDM party will be thrown Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7. Admission is $5.
— Four-H animal shows/auctions will be held periodically throughout the week.
— A “Teen Idol” concert will give someone age 13-19 a chance to win $100 for their vocal talent.
— Live music will be playing in the beer tent every night for ages 21 and older. The tent will open at 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and at 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Music begins at 8 p.m.
Organizers are expecting about 75,000 people in attendance.
