The tournament drew 64 teams, which competed for cash and many other prizes.
“We couldn’t do this without the Elks and all the local businesses that donate,” said Dave Stocking, who co-chaired the event with Jennifer Lynn. “We have 64 players. We were hoping for 80, but for a cold winter night, that’s not too bad.”
Organizers attempted to add a cornhole tournament to the evening’s festivities, but only five teams registered, so the event was canceled.
“We hoped for 16 teams, but it just didn’t come together this year,” Stocking said. “We’ll probably make that an event for the summer.”
The Snow Jam continues tonight at Spring Lake’s Central Park with a heated entertainment tent, ice skating, a Grand Haven-vs.-Spring Lake alumni hockey game and more.
