SPRING LAKE — With a move in the starting location for this year’s Heritage Festival Dog Walk came a lot of new events and activities for dog owners, kids and pets.

The village’s Mill Point Park became the launch point for Tuesday night’s walk to Old Boys Brewhouse. The park was filled with vendor booths, a doggie duck pond, pooch smooch photo booth, bounce house, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn and more.

Amy and Brian Fett of Nunica, first-time dog owners, had never attended the Dog Walk prior to Tuesday. Now that they have Georgia, a 10-week-old pug from Georgia, life has changed.

“We've never had a dog before,” Amy said. “Since we have a dog, we thought we might was well come down to enjoy the Dog Walk.”

Molly Moore Erhorn has been part of the Dog Walk for a decade. She walked this year's event with her 2-year-old golden retriever, Wesley.

“It's so fun to see everyone and to see all the dogs we have in the community,” Erhorn said.
