Utility crews were able to lift the wire off the semitrailer, allowing it to drive away. Crews will now begin work on repairing the pole and restoring power to the American Legion.
A truck driver and his passenger are trapped in a semitrailer at the Grand Haven American Legion.
According to authorities on the scene, the truck drove behind the American Legion, 700 S. Harbor Drive, shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday. The semitrailer tangled in power lines and pulled over a utility pole.
Grand Haven Board of Light & Power cut power to the line before lifting it off the vehicle.
The vehicle went back to the other side of the building, where the driver and his passenger completed their delivery.
