OLIVE TWP. — A West Olive man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a crash between two pickup trucks at the intersection of Port Sheldon Street and U.S. 31 on Thursday.

James Ramsey, 46, suffered internal injuries in the 10:15 a.m. crash, police said. An ambulance transported him to Holland Hospital.

Ramsey was driving his 2004 Ford Ranger east on Port Sheldon Street when the pickup was struck by a Ford F-150 traveling south on the highway. Police said the F-150 ran a red light at the intersection.

Ramsey’s smaller pickup truck ended up in the northbound lanes of the highway.

The F-150 was being driven by Robert Mars of Spring Lake, said Sgt. Bob Ruster of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department. Mars, 72, was not injured.
