Police had still not released the man’s name as of Sunday evening, although many people were posting on his social media sites. A crowd funding page has also been established for the family.

Ottawa County Sheriff Capt. John Wolffis said that deputies responded to Snowmass near Boyne Boulevard after the stabbing was reported at 8:42 p.m. Saturday.
Emergency crews administered aid to the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, a 33-year-old Standale woman, was taken into custody at the scene.
Wolffis said the investigation revealed that there was a gathering at a nearby residence. The suspect and the victim at some point went out into the street where there was an altercation in the roadway and the suspect stabbed the victim.
Numerous witnesses have been interviewed, but police ask anyone who saw the incident to contact the Sheriff’s Department.
