Injuries were minor in the 4:05 p.m. incident, said Sgt. Josh Tomes of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety.
A woman in a white Ford Escape was traveling west on Washington Avenue with a green light when her car was struck by a southbound dark blue mini van.
The collision caused the white vehicle to roll up onto its side. Tomes said the woman was unable to get out of the vehicle on her own. Police assisted by opening the back door, and then releasing the woman from her seat belt.
The woman walked to the ambulance.
Tomes said she was going to the hospital to be checked for possible injury.
No names were released at the time.
