HOLLAND TWP. — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a man they say stole the drawer out of a cash register at a Walgreens store in the Holland area early Friday.

It happened at about 2 a.m. at the pharmacy's location on Butternut Drive at James Street in Holland Township.

Investigators said the suspect came into the store and told the cashier to open the cash register for him. When the clerk wouldn't do it, the suspect pulled the drawer out himself and ran away.

The suspect is a white man in his 20s or 30s, and between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall. He weighs between 150 and 200 pounds, and has a dark brown or black beard and mustache. Deputies said he did not use or show a weapon during the robbery.

If you know anything about the crime, you're asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office at 616-738-4000 or Silent Observer at 1-877-887-4536.
