Detroit-area woman hurt in 1-vehicle crash on US 31

GRAND HAVEN TWP. — A 21-year-old Warren woman was injured in a crash on U.S. 31 south of Grand Haven at about 8:40 p.m. Monday, May 28.

Mackenzie Puffer was driving a 2001 Ford Expedition south on the highway. Just north of Rosy Mound Drive in Grand Haven Township, her vehicle left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree.

Puffer was injured and taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital. She was treated and released from the hospital, police said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, said Sgt. Chris Dill.
