Funding is through the foundation’s Technical Assistance Fund.
Coaching will be through the Grand Valley State University Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy, which is a university-based center that serves nonprofits, foundations and others who seek to transform their communities for public good. Program Director Mathew Downey will lead the training.
The award brings value in addition to funding, according to Barbara Lee, Extended Grace’s executive director.
“We’ve been recognized as a nonprofit with impressive goals,” she said. “This grant helps put us in position for long-term success.”
Extended Grace is a local social justice/human rights agency that provides opportunities for people who want to help people.
