SPRING LAKE — The temperature didn’t feel like spring Saturday morning, but the atmosphere did as hundreds of egg hunters gathered at Central Park for the annual Spring Lake Lions Club Easter egg hunt.
Hunters of all ages hopped to it, gathering plastic eggs stuffed with candy.
Following the hunt, the man of the hour, the Easter Bunny, strolled to the middle of the baseball diamond where he greeted children and posed for photos with families.
At Grand Haven’s Central Park, hundreds of youngsters converged to collect colorful eggs in the Community Easter Egg Hunt, presented by Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt and Lake Michigan Credit Union.
Event coordinator Paula DeYoung said 5,000 eggs were given away. The egg hunt was broken up into four different age groups, ranging from 0-2 years old up to 10.
“We just love it, seeing how many people come out and totally enjoy it,” DeYoung said.
