Library to host program on invasive species

• Sep 2, 2016 at 4:00 PM

Invasive species have changed the Great Lakes forever. Headlines have focused on blood-sucking sea lamprey, dead alewives on beaches, pipe-clogging zebra mussels, and high-jumping silver carp but the impact of invaders goes far beyond the headlines.

Dr. Dan O'Keefe will give an in-depth look at some of our most damaging invasive species and four types of Asian carp that have not yet established populations in Lake Michigan.

The program will be held at the Loutit District Library on September 8 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Program Room A.
