Beginning Dec. 5, the barn will be transformed into a Christmas tradition. You will go back in time to imagine what the very first Christmas was like — the sights, sounds and smells.
The presentation offers children and families a personal, hands-on look at the way of life in Bethlehem, long ago. You’ll be surrounded by sheep, cows, shepherds, angels and lights as you listen to carols and hear the Christmas story. The barn will include a photo display of Galilee and Bethlehem, where you can learn about the place where Jesus was born and hear about the shepherds of 2,000 years ago.
The Live Nativity is supported by free-will donations.
Doors open at 10:45 a.m. each day, Tuesday through Saturday, and the Live Nativity begins at 11 a.m. The final Live Nativity is at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 30. The Critter Barn is closed Sundays and Mondays, as well as Dec. 24-26.
School groups and groups of more than 20 people are encouraged to call 616-748-1110 to coordinate a time for your tour.
