At Sweet Temptations, Grand Haven Christian School received $343.01. At The Front Porch in Spring Lake, Holmes Elementary School handily beat second place Jeffers with $858.24. At Skoops, St. John’s Lutheran School won $1,569.65.
“Not only was this a great fundraiser for us, this was a fun day of fellowship for our community as well,” St. John’s Lutheran School Administrator Laura Harvey said.
The check amount at Front Porch was increased to $1,000 to celebrate the retirement of Holmes Principal Mary Keeton.
Holmes has won four years in a row, and St. John’s has won the competition since it started at Skoops.
Since the competition began, the local ice cream stores have given back more than $20,000 to local schools, owner Kelly Larson said.
