Contributing to the media garden are wood carver Glen Gronevelt with three sculptures: a rose, amaryllis and tulips; quilter Karen Katje’s pansies; Maxine Veurink’s oil of a spring garden; Jan Veenstra’s pastel sunflower; Henk Otten’s photograph of an hibiscus; and Vange Van Huesen’s pen and ink/photographs. All are members of Second CRC.
Other highlights are the 18-foot banners from Oakdale Park CRC in Grand Rapids, hanging on the brick wall; Grand Haven artist Wanda Anderson with poured charcoal drawing; silk-screen concrete poems of Mary Solt; concrete flowers of Amy Greving; and plastic flowers painted with acrylics of Kara Kemperman.
The public is invited to view the show that runs until Aug. 21. Summer hours of the church are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday and Sundays. The church is located at the corner of Robbins and Sheldon roads.
