Biosolutions honored at annual Chamber luncheon

Biosolutions, 1811 Hayes St., is a division of the Grand Haven-based Shape Corp. Biosolutions formulates, blends, packages and distributes biodegradable cleaners and industrial coolants for companies committed to maintaining an environmentally safe and healthy workplace.
“In 2006, the company received the Clean & Green branding from the (U.S.) Environmental Protection Agency,” Lackner said. “We are the 25th company in the country to get that recognition.”
Lackner said the company began in 1997 with one employee and it has grown to 10 employees, with primary customers being first- and second-tier automotive suppliers and manufacturers.
Other award recipients
The Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven-Spring Lake-Ferrysburg handed out the annual awards, recognizing its five member municipalities’ choices, Wednesday at the Grand Haven Community Center.
Spring Lake Country Club, 17496 N. Fruitport Road, was honored by Spring Lake Township for its years of service to the community by playing a role in local events, being a place of activity for generations of area residents and for being good stewards to the environment.
Ferrysburg leaders honored AAC Credit Union, 17228 Van Wagoner Road, for its commitment to the community through events assisting the fire department and through its financial services to residents.
Village of Spring Lake leaders honored 7 Steps Up LLC, 117 S. Jackson St., for work creating a new 2,500-square-foot event and banquet center at the old Masonic Temple building.
Grand Haven Township leaders honored Haven Manufacturing LLC, 13720 172nd Ave. “They have a long history in our township and they’ve had great success in poor economic times,” Grand Haven Township Supervisor Karl French said.
