The Ottawa Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition — a program of Pathways, MI, and Communities Helping Ottawa Obtain a Safe Environment — has honored Dr. Levi Pulver, owner of Pulver Chiropractic in Grand Haven, for supporting Total Trek Quest, an after-school youth development and running program for boys in grades 3-5.  Pulver has been a TTQ coach for four years, is actively involved on the TTQ Advisory Board, and has recruited volunteers and made financial contributions to the program.

“I got into TTQ to help teach children healthy habits that will benefit them for life,” Pulver said.

The coalition has also honored Becky Hosley, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty–Lakeshore and a Project Charlie volunteer for 22 years. She teaches students in grades 3-5 how to say no to drugs, alcohol and smoking.

Pulver and Hosley received Volunteer of the Year awards during a coalition meeting on June 24.
