Native American games to be played July 20
Jul 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM
Native American children created their own games using items from nature — rocks, sticks, strips of leather. One of their games has become quite popular — LaCrosse.
At the Tri-Cities Historical Museum’s “Our Woodland Ways” program on Wednesday, July 20, children will have a chance to play two different Native American games: kainsish and throw sticks.
This free program will begin at 10 a.m. and take place at the museum’s Akeley location, 200 Washington Ave. in downtown Grand Haven.
