Hopkins has been playing guitar since he was 15, and has played in bands both in and out of college. For the past seven years, he has volunteered as the worship leader at Ada Bible Church.
He recorded his first album, “Still Frame,” in 2007. Hopkins has opened for Christian music artists Aaron Schust, 33 Miles, Warren Barfield and Andrew Peterson.
Hopkins, his wife and four children live in Saranac. He works for National Heritage Academics in Grand Rapids.
Worship on the Waterfront will begin at 7:30 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free; however, a free-will offering will be taken with a focus on feeding Haiti.
Prior to Hopkins’ show, people can join the Little Tree Praise Team in a time of singing and worship at 7:10 p.m.
