Spring Lake Township resident Larry Dannemiller — who was attending the presentation with his wife, Maggie — said the musical program was a good fit for the John Adams series of events.

“I thought that his presentation was excellent,” Larry Dannemiller said. “He is a teacher par excellence and I really enjoyed it. The way he was able to work in his commentary and the music was special.”

According to Maggie Dannemiller, the couple have been to nearly all of the John Adams special presentations put on by the library. The only event the couple said they missed was the Colonial tea.

“It just added another dimension to the series,” she said of the music event, adding that she was sad to see the John Adams program winding down.

The “John Adams Unbound” exhibit at Loutit District Library concludes Aug. 5.
