Summer school children to man lemonade stand

“The students are working hard to help support their program by raising the money and funds by themselves,” said Jentry Soule, recreational programmer for NORA. “They plan, organize and run the lemonade stand. This gives the students the opportunity to improve their skills in math and organization, as well as giving them an opportunity to learn how to market and run their own ‘business.’”

NORA’s Recreation Summer School is a nonprofit program at Ferry Elementary for the children in grades kindergarten to fifth who attend Ferry, Mary A. White and Griffin elementary schools, and Grand Haven Christian and St. John’s Lutheran schools.
