The first “Grand Haven Area Public Schools Playing for a Purpose” event will be the Grand Haven vs. Jenison football game on Sept. 16. GHHS football players will be wearing purple jerseys with the name of a person affected by cancer and playing in that person’s honor. The game will follow a “survivor lap” at 6 p.m., and introduction of the players and the person they are playing for at 6:30 p.m.
