Huizenga to host West Mich. Entrepreneur and Innovation Tour this week

The tour will begin at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday when Huizenga delivers the opening remarks at Grand Valley State University’s Loosemore Auditorium in downtown Grand Rapids. The day will continue with a visit to Klever Innovations, 1734 Airport Drive in Grand Haven, from 10:30 a.m. to noon; and a meeting with FastTrac New Venture graduates at the Chamber of Commerce office, 1 S. Harbor Ave. in downtown Grand Haven, from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Huizenga will meet with the Muskegon Inventors Network at the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center, 200 Viridian Drive in Muskegon, from 8-9 a.m. He will then tour the Noble Co., a former Grand Haven manufacturing firm now at 7300 Enterprise Drive in Norton Shores, from 10-11 a.m.

Back at the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center, the congressman will meet with advanced energy management from 11:30 a.m. to noon and attend the Entrepreneur Resources Workshop from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The schedule will conclude with a tour of The Starting Block Kitchen Incubator, 1535 Industrial Park Drive in Hart, from 3-4 p.m. Thursday.

Huizenga is also encouraging the public to attend the Entrepreneur Resources Workshop on Thursday to hear from entrepreneurs and partners about the resources available to start a small business. The workshop will be held at the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center, 200 Viridian Drive in downtown Muskegon, from noon to 1:30 p.m. You must register for the workshop by calling the congressman’s Holland office at 616-395-0030. Lunches can be ordered in advance for $10.
