Master plan for Mulligan’s Hollow includes pickleball

According to Beaton, the new master plan will include a section of ideas that can be done within the next two years, projects that can take place within the next 2-5 years, and the final section includes items that are more long-term goals with no definitive time frame.

“The short-term goals include an east-west pedestrian walkway,” Beaton said.

Pickleball enthusiasts will also have a place to play, Beaton said.

“One way or another, pickleball will end up where the tennis courts are now,” she said.

However, Beaton is unsure of the exact combination of tennis and pickleball courts.

The next step in the process, Beaton said, involves sending the plan to the city’s Parks and Recreation Board for its recommendation to City Council.
