City invited to submit full facade grant application

“Unfortunately, because it is such a complex process, it is a time consuming process to go through,” Keery said.

The city is applying for a $358,018 state grant. The funding would go toward facade improvements at 115, 119, 210, 732, 735 and 1118 Washington Ave.

“This is good news because, if the MSF board doesn’t approve it, you are done,” Keery said.

Work at many of the buildings along Washington Avenue would receive matching funds by the property owners. This funding would allow for improved facades, new windows, paint and other exterior amenities.
