Fruitport church rebuilding its Community Center

He said donations of any amount will be gladly accepted.

“We just want people to come together and celebrate together that face that the community supports and cares for each other,” Koedyker said.

The fire erupted in the early morning of Aug. 6. It was doused by firefighters from Fruitport, Norton Shores and Ferrysburg.

“After the initial shock, members of the church are looking at the whole thing in a very positive way,” Koedyker said. “The congregation has voted to rebuild the Community Center and redesign it so that it better meets the ministry’s present needs.”
