Village manager gets high marks in review

“If he’s doing a great job, it’s time we stand with him,” Filber said. “Over the last 10 years, he has always exceeded our expectations. I strongly believe we’re much better off with an experienced village manager.”

Cotton received 86 percent “meet or exceed” grades from council members — with descriptions such as “impressed with work ethics,” “fortunate to have him,” “tolerance of views of others,” “abilities to keep his cool,” “does what council asks,” “attention to details” and “exemplary.”

Not all reviews were positive. One council member wrote: “Lies, stop trying to run everything, let department heads do their jobs.”
