Cargo said the issue is not scheduled to be discussed at the actual board meeting, but there is usually a time when the public can speak on non-agenda items.

One man was injured and several homes were damaged in the Cutter Park subdivision by bullets believed to have been fired from the North Ottawa Rod and Gun Club on the morning of Sept. 29. The subdivision is located between Lincoln and Ferris streets, about a half-mile east of the gun club.

The OCSD reported that a 30-year-old Grand Haven man was hit by a bullet in the arm while doing contracting work at a home on Acacia Drive. Homeowners hearing about the incident checked around their homes and bullets were recovered at eight residences, reported Lt. Mark Bennett.

Concerned residents held a neighborhood meeting on Oct. 2, then showed up in force at a regular meeting of the North Ottawa Rod and Gun Club Board of Directors the next evening.
