Filmmaker David Schock will answer audience questions following the film.
This program is the fourth and final installment of the Arc of Justice Program Series the library is hosting in support of the Great Michigan Read book “Arc of Justice: A Saga of Race, Civil Rights and Murder in the Jazz Age” by Kevin Boyle.
Schock, a Hope College professor at the time the documentary was made, collaborated with colleague Fred Johnson III to research the film. They interviewed historians throughout the state to obtain the material contained in the film, which examines the history of the KKK in Michigan.
