‘Yoga 500’ to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Jul 21, 2015 at 11:11 AM
The “Yoga 500” will take place at the Grand Haven Community Center, 421 Columbus Ave., from 2-5 p.m.
Fenton, owner of Lakeshore Yoga Center in Grand Haven, was diagnosed in 2010 with stage 3 breast cancer. She continues her healing journey, recently having a major reconstructive surgery and undergoing monthly treatments.
Carlson, an instructor at the yoga center, has been in treatment for breast cancer twice.
Both women will lead the class participants through yoga poses specifically recommended for relaxation, opening the body and uplifting the spirit — sprinkled in with a bit of laughter and a few tears.
The suggested donation is $20. All proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.
