The development is being built on vacant land between Grand Pines Assisted Living Center and Pinewood Place, all of which the Reenders family of Grand Haven will own and operate. The three-option housing campus is designed to create a community where local senior citizens will be able to age in place, according to Melissa Satterfield of Reenders Inc.
Construction on this $12 million senior living community will continue through the winter and is scheduled to open next summer. Funding for the development is provided by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.
