It will take place in the downstairs Escanaba Room of the Grand Haven Community Center, 421 Columbus Ave., from 7-8:30 p.m.

The residents who oppose the installation of Smart Meters say the devices that read electrical use may pose health hazards.

“The scheduled installation of Smart Meters by Consumers Energy is relatively unknown, but will affect anyone who uses or is exposed to all things electrical,” said Spring Lake resident Michelle Rison, who is helping to organize the group.
