“It’s great for the kids,” Ski Bowl Manager Stacey Reierson said. “It gives them something to do outside on a snow day.”
Reierson said the Ski Bowl was seeing hundreds of people come down the slopes on Friday. As of 2:30 p.m., she said more than 400 people of all ages had shown up to ski or board.
“We’re very excited about the number of kids,” she said, adding that many of them showed up as soon as the slope opened this morning.
Jean Ryan was skiing with her children, Rachel and Jenny; and their friend, Skyler Colean. Ryan said it was a good experience on the day off from school.
“We’re having a blast,” she said. “It is great to have this wonderful resource in our community.”
Ryan’s children were equally excited about being at the ski slope instead of in the classroom.
“We don’t have school — it’s a snow day,” Jenny Ryan exclaimed, adding she likes to come to Mulligan’s Hollow during the winter months.
