Winter weather advisory

Mark Brooky • Jul 21, 2015 at 11:19 AM

Snow will continue tonight, with up to 3 inches of accumulation expected. Colder temperatures will cause moisture on roads to freeze.

Impacts:

— Roads have become icy as temperatures dropped below freezing this afternoon.

— Poor visibilities and snow-covered roads are expected into tonight.

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be   prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

The Michigan Department of Transportation reminds motorists to adjust speeds based on the conditions, and to take it slow in ice and snow.
