MDOT’s 2012 plans include $12M for M-231

The funds include more than $12 million for projects in Ottawa County.

As part of the new M-231 corridor, the following two projects are planned for Ottawa County:

— A $7.5 million investment to replace the 112th Avenue bridge over Interstate 96 and widen it to four lanes, reconstruct the existing ramps, reconfigure the

Cleveland Street/Apple Drive intersection, and add a new westbound I-96 entrance ramp. A new eastbound I-96 exit ramp is planned for 2013.

— A $4.7 million investment to reconstruct and widen 1.3 miles of M-104 from west of 124th Avenue east to I-96.
