The watch area also includes Muskegon, Montcalm, Gratiot, Kent, Ionia, Clinton, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Calhoun and Jackson counties.

The National Weather Service said a burst of precipitation is expected tonight into Wednesday, with a mixture of precipitation types possible. The precipitation will begin as a mix of sleet and freezing rain before transitioning over to rain on Wednesday.

The potential exists for one-quarter inch or more of ice accumulation tonight into Wednesday morning.
